Snowboarding bindings are what keep your feet attached to your snowboard. There are different kinds of bindings you can buy. You should buy your snowboard boots before you buy your bindings. There are many different styles of bindings and boots that you can buy. You need to buy what you feel fits you best.
Flow-in bindings or strap on bindings offer the most flexibility. You need to use them with soft boots. This is a good combination for free-styler’s and free riders. These are also more comfortable when you are off your snowboard. You need to make sure if you are going to use step in bindings you also use step in boots. You need to make sure the step ins for boots and bindings are the same. If you buy cheaper step-ins then you will have less for control. Hard boots with plate/lever bindings give the most solid and to write control you will have with your snowboard. Soft boots and strap bindings are the most used because they are the most comfortable when not on your snowboard more people still prefer step in bindings because it is easier to get on and off your board.
Before you buy bindings, you need to buy your boots. Your bindings should hold your boot snugly and be comfortable. There should also be no excessive movement from side to side, or front to back. Connect all the straps and see how the fit is. Once you have the right bindings and boots, snowboarding will be more enjoyable to you.
