Not only does that tell how many lifts are open but also, maybe more importantly, how many are closed. Number 3 is Inches of New Snow in a 24 hour period. This rolls right into the next and last number. Number 4, Snow Status. A lot of new snow means Powder, and whatever you ride, powder is the best, hands down. But if you don’t have powder you will get something like, Hard Packed, or Machine Groomed, definitely pride killers. So to conclude, what did we learn? Snow and Ski Reports are Awesome! They, as long as you picked your favorite resort well, help you gain the all important bragging rights.
